As I sit this morning in a house that is still in the unpacking process, I am contemplating the impact of the past week on my life. In particular, I am thinking about a lesson that God taught me while cleaning the old house.
Removing every last bit of stuff enabled me to see into every book and cranny. It was at this point that I saw how dirty my clean house was. The lesson I saw was that our lives often appear clean, but we have to allow God to empty us out to see what is in those hidden areas so they can be cleaned out. The fact is that we need God to do this regularly or we start to think we are clean when we aren't.
I hope that you, like me, regularly let God help you clean your Spiritual house.
