Our family spent the day at Sea World enjoying the benefits of a San Diego winter. Our day concluded with Shamu's Christmas, during which the whales performed as a choir and the two lead singers performed Silent Night, O Holy Night, a carol that I didn't know that spoke about Emmanuel and then they led the crowd in Joy to the World. As we were singing, it struck me that here at a secular amusement park, the message of the Christ child was being proclaimed by His creation - both man and whale. Even though many in the crowd were likely non-Christian, they heard the message and were exposed to the marvels of the Creator. I pray that my daily actions become so intertwined with God's Holiness that people will see Him tgrough me even in something as innocuous as a theme park show or a business meeting or a stop at Starbucks. Oh that it would be so for each of us! If Shamu can be a witness, what's my excuse?
