I have explored iTunes U in the past through iTunes on my Mac, but it
wasn't exactly the easiest resource to use. With the release of the
new app following yesterday's announcement by Apple, I looked at it
again and was struck by the idea that it could be a medium for our
folks at the College for Officer Training to share lectures, chapels
and classes with the rest of the Territory (and the world) fairly
easily. Schools sharing similar content include Azusa Pacific
University, Asbury, Biola, Dallas Theological Seminary and Point Loma
Nazarene University. Seems like a great street corner to me as well as
a fantastic tool for increasing the knowledge of our soldiery. By the way, all of the iTunes U content can be accessed via iTunes on
a PC or Mac and while it is easiest to view it on an iOS device, you
can copy the downloaded video and audio files to other portable
devices.
